NO SCOUTS WHEN THERES A HOLIDAY

today is wednesday , and that means at 7pm, daniel and craig share time together without me doing allot of guy stuff.
craig has been called as an assistant scout leader for my church, and daniel is a newbie in the world of green colored scouts. hes been in cubs before (and they wear blue).
i genuinely appreciate the fact craig is willing to do this calling and as well, share in the events with daniel some of the landmark memories hell make as he gets into it more and more.
daniel has a friend just up the street that also often goes with him to scouts, altho paris (the friend) is NOT a member of the troop like daniel is. were working on that.
well, they went off, and about a half hour..they were home again.
there wasnt any scouts. im assuming, because of the holiday and the fact some families just wernt home...means the population for scouts would be compromised by lack of attendance, no need to have it if no ones going to be there.
oh well. next week.

NEW YEARS 2007 - LET THE HUNT BEGIN

NEW YEARS 2007-LET THE HUNT BEGIN

new years arrived and we had promised daniel to go look for a game for the playstation 2 console i have that he wanted.
the afternoon couldnt have come any sooner. the child was about every 2 minutes begging and asking what time it was and if we were still going to go, and we "had promised to take him"...it was a constant battery of pre-teen anxt....the "i have to have it right now" kinda thought.
so, about 3pm, or so we head out the door to go hunt this one item down. it took us 2 walmarts, and 1 bestbuy, before we located it at a gamestore. we got it.
thankgoodness!

NEW YEARS EVE 2006

**NOTE: this was originally posted on BLOGGER.com**
NEW YEARS EVE 2006
Photo
it was the last day of the year 2006, and we had been invited to a friends home to watch a set of DVDs for the night to usher in the new year 2007. those plans were scapped when i recieved an IM (instant message on the pc from a service like yahoo) expressing the hubby wasnt feeling well.
we decided to go out to eat. somewhere we didnt normaly attend. we went to a resturant not far from our home, but the place was salp packed full of customers. i have an aversions to places that have a ton of ppl in them because of my weight. i feel ppl stare at me and wonder why im there, so i often opt out of an eatery based on population in the parkinglot. and this was no exception.
we didnt have to drive far when we ended up at applebees.

we were hoping to actually be able to be there long enough to usher in the new year around some other ppl, but, alas, murpheys law is a close relative to me, and they closed thier doors at 10pm (sign said 11pm).
craig and daniel enjoyed thier dinners. i chose not to really eat.

after that, we went home.
and about 34 seconds into 2007 we rememberd to watch the dropping of the ball in NY on tv.
Photo
i had expected more popps, and firecracker noises, but there wernt any. very little.
i was a bit amiss, about the fact my church here doesnt have a midnight breakfast dance for the NEW YEARS festivities. in Columbia SC, every NEW YEARS eve, theres an area dance that they hold for ALL ages, so parents can bring thier little ones, and a celebration at midnight of the new year comming in, and then a midnight breakfast for those who remained. its a great time to get together with alot of ppl from church in a different type of setting. but here in oklahoma, they didnt do such fun for the holiday. i missed that.
Photo

so, quietly and without much anouncement the new year of 2007 came creeping in without much warning. had we not already been awake, we would have slept right thru the event alltogether.

SOME DAYS ARE JUST BETTER THAN OTHERS, TODAY WASNT ONE OF THEM

**NOTE: this was previously posted on YAHOO360**

August 19, 2005-SOME DAYS ARE JUST BETTER THAN OTHERS, TODAY WASNT ONE OF THEM

TGIF!!!!
ever just have one of "THOSE" days? i have them almost every day, and today seemed like the weeks worth to me.
craig checked his works email, and was asked by a personnel, why he hadnt told them about the court date for bankruptcy today...when he received the information...
craig said he had told them, 3 weeks ago, that he in fact had sent an email to HIS BOSS (here we go again, with the mislaid info by the boss..) and told him the date he would have to be out.
they email also mentioned...that in the 90 days probation so far (craigs been fulltime for a month now?) hes already missed 4 of the 5 aloted days, and on the next day out...hell most likely be fired...
from the lips of craig come the words...."maybe i should just cut my losses and find another job"
hmmmm, i think i uttered those nealy every week SINCE ya got the dern thing, altho understanding...its about all he can get unless he gets a bit more education in the areas ppl are looking to hire someone in.
the next order of business was he had to run to the DMV(department of motor vehicles) and get all the paperwork to sell my van to our friend HANK GREGORY...i told him to call hank, and ask him if he wouldnt mind waiting till tomorrow (sat) to get the van, as craig had to do to "support" jobs for his work....even tho he had asked for the day off (at least he gets paid for it)
hank obliged, and somewhere in their conversation...explained that we WOULD need the title for the van to sell it to hank.
now, mind you...thats NOT a big deal to me..what go me irritated was...craig was standing there...IN THE BUILDING, at the DMV, with te resources avaiable to him...to just...ASK about the title. and he never did.
so, he calls me up to inform me of the issue and says...."which messes my entire day up now. having to go BACK there to get the title."
i stopped him in mid sentence...
and expressed somewhat LOUDLY...how, i didnt see how going to the DMV was gonna STOP him from getting and doing the things we were intending to do tomorrow (out to eat breakfast, get a storm door). it was ANOTHER reason to complain...im getting tired of it.
so, i stated my piece...and hung up on him .
the day went progressively worse from there...
somewhere in the day, my dog SHADOW got outside. next door neighbors kid had to bring her back. i called craig about it, said the dog had gotten out..
he asked...did she get out by the hole in the fence? i didnt think so, but again, THIS question alone incited me to get upsey even more.
i dont get WHY if craig KNEW that was an issue (which we have for a couple months now) WHY hasnt he fixed it then?
JUST DO IT ALREADY AND I WONT HAVE PROVOCATION TO BE SO UPSET WITH YOU!!!
we had somehow managed to discuss a wall-to-wall shelf system i want in the corner of the house, to look more uniform and pulled together, and he wasnt understanding MY vision of the thing....naturally.
again, i was VERY irate! YELLED and FUSSED!!! i had just about met my limit for a trying day by this point!
then theres the GRASS, hasnt been cut. and my child was asked about it and the ppl wondered when my son was going to get it done...COME ON! hes a kid!
craig came home, and the kids came out of the woodwork like roaches wanting to go swimming...its the weekend, they dont get to during the week, and they know on the weekend....craigs usually free, and they try to take advantage of that fact.
we have become...the neighborhood PUBLIC pool...lol
well, he has to get rude with them...because he JUST came home and he has things he tries to do.
hank had called and stated he was gonna come over to "test-drive" the van to see if it was worthy of...40.00 or not. worthy? its 40.00 bucks, ya cant buy a van in decent shape for a lowly 40.00 bucks, youre looking at at least a couple of hundred.
when he and his wife TESS were here, we did alot of talking, they drove the van...said they felt for 40.00 bucks she was decent (i know shes a good van, i drove her myself) well, after they left, the kids had 1 hour to swim...
i dunno, it seemed worse to me than what ive written here..and mostly because craig has messed up in doing SEVERAL key things....small things, but they irritated me.
WHEN DO MEN EVER GROW UP?!?!
it could be...that someone has prayed for me to have patience..
and im under the understanding that what you ask God for..Hell make sure your tested with something to "try" it....meaning, if i was asking God for patience, Hed send along things that TRY that patience, or if i was asking God to have a non-judgmental heart, id be graced all the time with...ppl who challenged my opinions...
the reason? to help us grow. we cant overcome what we dont face.
im working on temper...i have a short fuse, and im easily lit to an argument. i do have to say (although craig doesnt realize it) i am alot calmer with him that i was with my hubby (ex) DAN....THAT relationship was volital..and it was on my end that it was so...

IT WAS A CHINESE FOOD KINDA NIGHT!!

**NOTE: this was originally posted on YAHOO360**

August 18, 2005- IT WAS A CHINESE FOOD KINDA NIGHT!!

well, the day was a very pleasant one.
i was not anxious about much, and it was fairly easy and quiet. i like it like that.

craig, daniel and myself were supposed to go to train club, but craig ended up working later than expected (seems to be the norm anymore) and we usually take THURSDAY night as our FAMILY EAT OUT TOGETHER night....since it has become such a custom in the home, we expect that we can do it without having to actually GO to train night. just because we missed that doesnt mean we have to miss the fun stuff we normally do before or after...does it? didnt think so....
so, i suggested CHINESE!!! we went to: MILLENNIUM BUFFET (i may have a review on that, i dont know if i can yet)
well, it was typical. and i was slightly disappointed that they didnt have any sushi, i like to eat that kelp covered rice stuff with that GREEN WASABI sauce (HOT!)..but they didnt have any. :(
our fortunes read like this--

mine (michelle): YOU SIMPLIFY YOUR LIFE IN MANY WAYS AND FIND GREAT REWARDS. ...hmm, well, i guess so, but its fairly general a statement, could have applied to anyone, really!

craigs: YOU ARE ABLE TO ANALIZE OBJECTIVELY AND EXPRESS YOURSELF CLEARLY...now THIS one, sounds MORE like me than my own!

daniels: WISDOM IS NOT WASTED ON THE OLD, NOR IS YOUTH WASTED ON THE YOUNG. ...that was PERFECT for him!

we got home around 10pm....
i tried to get some sleep at about 11pm, i didnt manage to do so until about 2:30ish or so....
i think im wound up about a book i want to get called: A SPELL FOR CHAMELEON...its the first in the XANTH series.
all-in-all, id have to say...today was a VERY GOOD DAY!

PREGGY TEST WAS NEGATIVE

*NOTE: this was originally posted on YAHOO360**
August 06, 2005-PREGGY TEST IS NEGATIVE

i took a test, really cheap generic pregnancy test, but still. it was negative...right now.
now i might still be with child, and NOT far along enough to develop any hormones to show on a pregnancy test yet, so in a few weeks if i feel more symptoms come up-ill do it again.
maybe well have made a sucessful attempt at SOMETHING anyway!
if not, well just keep trying, i guess.
i feel kinda bummed out about this, even tho i knew it was a 50/50 shot at a negative result. i still held the slightest amount of hope inside towards the fact i may have been (could still be) pregant. i wanted to go shopping for "BABY STUFF".
i came back in and showed the test to craig...told him the thing was negative, and he says:
"you sound disapinted."
ummm, yeah! you figure? i have wanted another child since i had daniel
i replied: " you sound relived!" and left it at that.
MEN!
