2012 NEW YEARS DAY BREAKFAST

 morning weight: 263

craig and i went out for a breakfast on New years..
went to IHOP, because i wanted eggs and some meat like bacon, sausage, or the like.
i ended up with the lowest calorie egg omelet they offer (320 cals): Spinach/Mushroom/Tomato NO meat...
and water (blah!) to drink.
oh and a side of fresh fruit.
the grapes..OMG! i had forgotten how good they are! lol

youll note..my omlete has onions on it, NOT part of it, they just included them..they were pretty good...gave the omelet some flavor, i also used craigs salsa as my 'sauce'
if you look at the top of the pic, you can see craig had a colorado omelet (a whopping 1120 cals!)

yes, part of the new year is my concentration on what i put in my body, as well as exercise.

breakfast was very good, i was stuffed from my smaller omelet...but it did the trick.

OUT TO EAT - MUTTS

this was one of the greatest discoveries i had ever made...

on the way to the gallery to pick up my latest monkey painting (in support of the Oklahoma zoo) i saw a new restaraunt. called: MUTTS.
we had just been to a train show that our train club was at..and it was mid day, and we were hungry, so we thought to stop in there.
it was PACKED! i mean, the place was FULL!
we culdnt figure out why, all they sold was...hot dogs.
until, you ate one, then we knew!
they are GOURMET hotdogs, and by gormet, i mean luxury...not in prive, in taste...price  was ok for a fast food...
but they served hotdoges made from all kinds of different meats, like duck, for instance.

well, i HAD to try eveyr hor dog. (not all at one time, lol)
i started off with the breakfast dog..

thats a breakfast link under all of that other stuff, topped with french fries, mixed cheese, egg (scrambled, or fried, i chose scrambled) and what they call: bloody Mary ketchup (ketchup dusted with black pepper)
for a breakfast, this was really good.

craig had something very similar to the SANDYS HOTDOGS we used to be able to get in columbia, SC

. thay called it the: SWEET CAROLINE
beef dog, covered in chili, slaw and green onions. looks, and reminded me of home. :)

i had another dog as well...
couldnt resist.
HOT WING DOG...YUMMMMMY!

a get this, CHICKEN FRIED CHICKEN DOG, thats right, chicken fried, as in dipped in batter and fried! the casing was a but crunchy..but it was worth it...
then its covered in crumbled blue cheese, the bun is slathered with a green habinjaro sauce and its all topped off with celery bits...
this is one of my fav hot dogs...LOVE IT! but, ill be going through the list to try each one..because they all look so good!

OUT TO EAT AT STEAK-N-SHAKE

i dont remember WHY we went out to eat at this time. but it was some sort of celebration.daniels included.

for whatever reason we did go out. and i took pics, lol

My son, daniel, having a very greasy carb filled, barbeque hamburger.

my husband Craig, and my son daniel
my husband craig, with his own BUTTERY BURGER..yes folks, its got butter on it, SUPER greasy, bu oh sooo good! a thing of the past for me , now.
Me.
i thought this was a good choice until i did a nutritional value search online, found out this cup of chili has over 1K calories!!!
yes, i had it with cheese (more protein) and some onions, and water on the side.
i ALSO had this salad, grilled chicken salad with i believe some sort of western chipotle dressing.

as much as i think i can eat it all, i never can, i always end up taking  most of any meal home anymore.

DINNER AT RIB CRIB AND A PLEADING TO JOURNAL WRITE

tonight daniel went to spend the night aqt a new friends house, justin. and that ment craig and myself had time to spend with eachother....doesnt happen frequently, and we take advantage of it when it does.
he came home and offered to take me out to a nicer estauraunt than we would normally go to. i left the deciding on which one up to him...
he chose: RIB CRIB
Photo
we had been there once before (there should be a post about it in here somewhere). so it wasnt a NEW place to go and eat, but unfamilair enough we both couldnt remember WHAT we had to eat when we were there.
he and i both got a starter of: POTATO SLICES covered in cheese and bacon bits and for .50 cents more it was covered in chopped brisquet. and came with a side of sour cream.
Photo
in the picture above its the one lowest in the shot...our plate had alot more brisquet than this picture displays! :-)
we then both orderd th same combo meal, with different sides:
the CHOPPED BRISQUET COMBO MEAL
i had a side of CHICKEN CHOWDER and POTATO SALAD
craig had: ONION RINGS and POTATO CHIPS
Photo

we both couldnt eat the whole thing, asked for to-go boxes for the leftovers.
i then had for desert: HOT FUDGE SUNDAY
Photo
we both enjoyed our meal. it was very good.
i have tried in the past to express to craig the sheer dsire i feel its almost a MUST to record events that occur in ones life.
i realize not everyone has, or even wants to express stuff in a written format, b ut i feel it a tremendous disadvantage that my mother left me and daniel with out writing ANY of her life out for us to kn ow about her more in depth...
i keep a blog for daniel, for craig, and for anyone who cares to kn ow me and what i thought, felt, and experienced. it may be nothing to anyone else, but the events i write about and post pictures of mean the world to me...it happened to me, its part of my life. it may be boring...but its part of my life, and not everything i write will end up in a book about me, most of it most likely wont, but those events that i felt worthy of the time to write about WILL...
i want my son to know me...know what my feelings were when he was born, what they were when he said his first word, what life with his father (dan) was like, comapred to life with his dad (craig)...and how much the difference effecte dme and him. i want craig to know why i felt certain ways about certain things..i want the memories to be enough that in our old ages we can fondly read about the events that we felt impacted our lives enough to take those few precious momensts to express them.
when were old and feeble and lost all memories, well rely on these stories to help us remember....
i want my life to be meaningful...to mean something, to someone, if ONLY my son, and husband....
i tried to express those same thought to craig over the dinner tonight. emploring him to concider the life hes lead and can recall and tell....
perhaps i have left an impression..i hope so.
